The Crescent outdoor venue

The Crescent is one of Sydney’s premier outdoor event venues. Forming a natural amphitheatre in a stunning parklands setting, The Crescent offers a spectacular venue for outdoor concerts, festivals and other large events.

The Crescent has hosted internationally renowned artists such as 50 cent, The National, Post Malone and Summer Walker as well as Sydney Symphony Under the Stars each January as part of Sydney Festival.

The space operates in a single stage concert mode with capacity of up to 18,000 (subject to appropriate evacuation plans) or a community event mode in the hardstand and lower bowl with a capacity of approximately 5,000. 

Situated in the geographical centre of Sydney Parramatta Park is well served by the main transport hubs of Parramatta (750m) and Westmead (450m) with both heavy and light rail integration.

The Crescent is situated in the centre of the park with views to the Parramatta River and Parramatta city skyline. The closest park entrance is at the George Street Gatehouse on the Parramatta side of the park.

To apply to hold your event at this venue, complete the online application form.

Applications must be submitted as early as possible, no later than 12 weeks for large events (generally those over 1,000 people), and 6 weeks for small events (generally those under 1,000 people). 

We will conduct an internal assessment based on the information provided and will contact you to offer advice, seek further information or arrange a meeting. If it is decided to progress an event proposal beyond initial assessment, a more detailed proposal may be required. 

We encourage all parties interested in hosting an outdoor event of scale in the park to consult the NSW Event Starter Guide before submitting a proposal.
