Callan Park Waterfront revitalisation

We’ve recently received development approval for the final stage of the waterfront revitalisation which will enable us to continue landscape works at Waterfront Green due to commence in the first week of December. Once completed, this area will provide visitors with a beautiful new space for relaxation, gathering and enjoying nature, with additional tree plantings, native ground covers, sandstone seating, picnic tables and benches.

Sitting on the lands of the Wangal and Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the story of First Nations people and their ongoing connection to the land will be told through the interpretation of the original shoreline, and plantings and seating. There will also be improved access to the Refugee Welcome Centre and a new accessible pathway linking Wharf Road and the Bay Run for the first time.
