Bringing Back the Bush - Terms and conditions

Bringing Back the Bush is brought to you by Western Sydney Parklands, part of Greater Sydney Parklands. It is free of charge to selected schools. Participating schools should note the following terms and conditions:

Transport

  • Bus transport is provided free to students and teachers. This may be a bus with bench seats seating 3 students per bench, or a coach bus with one student per seat.
  • The school must provide and pay for any special needs transport greater than one wheelchair.
  • Please inform the program coordinator of any changes to student numbers as soon as possible, as this may affect the bus booking and cost to the program.

Excursion philosophy

Bringing Back the Bush is an all-weather program. Students should come prepared with appropriate clothing. In the case of extreme weather, Western Sydney Parklands may reschedule to a later date.

If rain is predicted on the day of the excursion and this is of concern, please discuss cancellation with the program coordinator. So we can avoid a cancellation fee from the bus company, notify the program coordinator at least 48 hours before the start of the excursion.

Please seek permission from your school principal before making an excursion booking.

COVID-19 regulations:

Because of COVID-19, there are strict rules in place to ensure activities are run safely.

It is your responsibility to monitor and comply with all NSW Government health regulations, including any check-in requirements.

For the latest information about the COVID-19 rules in NSW, visit: nsw.gov.au/covid-19

We may choose schools for photography and videography. We will provide permission forms for signing. We thank you for helping with this.

Booking changes and cancellations

You first make your booking by registering your interest and school details through Humanitix. If we select your school, we will send a booking confirmation email. This confirmation email confirms your booking.

If you need to change your excursion date, you must do this within 7 days of the booking confirmation, or as soon as possible. This is so we can offer the excursion date to another school.

If you need to cancel your booking because of concerns about the weather, please contact the program coordinator at least 48 hours before the start of your booking. We cannot accept cancellations within less than 48 hours of the excursion start time.

We will cancel programs if directed by NSW Government COVID-19 restriction orders.
