Wylde MTB and BMX
Wylde in Western Sydney Parklands is the largest combined mountain biking and BMX hub in Australia, featuring more than 15km of purpose-built mountain bike trails, a BMX racetrack and the largest pump track in the Southern Hemisphere.
Located on Range Road, off Elizabeth Drive in Cecil Park, Wylde caters for beginner, intermediate, competent, and advanced riders.
Bungarribee
Bungarribee Park is a 200-hectare park featuring wide-open scenic space and two sealed tracks – the Heart Crossing Loop and the Bungarribee Trail – which are fantastic for walking and cycling.
It also has one of Sydney’s largest off-leash dog areas, the Warrigal Dog Run, and an awesome playground with climbing tower, slides, a flying fox, swings and water play equipment.
The wetland around Bungarribee and Eastern Creek is protected and 20 hectares of native wildflowers and thousands of native trees are gradually being planted to restore the original landscape, known as the Cumberland Plain.
Lizard Log
Lizard Log is a nature lover’s wonderland in a bushland setting. It has a nature-themed playground for the kids, scenic walks for all and cycling tracks of various lengths for those who like a physical challenge.
The sprawling nature playground was designed to blend in with the natural landscape while offering seriously fun features. It has a climbing wall, slide, dual and single flying foxes, balancing beams, giant swings and a water play deck. The wood-carved animals that decorate the playground were made using timber salvaged from the area. Loop paths run through the site – perfect for scooter and bike riders.
Plough and Harrow
Plough and Harrow is a popular picnic area surrounded by beautiful native bushland. The east end has a playground, café, high ropes course and more. The west end is mostly open space – ideal for large groups of people who want to picnic and play ball games.
The Plough and Harrow Loop links east and west and is a short, gentle walk – perfect for friends and families of all ages and ability levels. The nearby Spotted Gum Trail is a demanding 3km route, along a fire trail/gravel track.
Tracks and Trails
Explore breathtaking walking, running and cycling trails, or take time out to just breathe in fresh air and connect with open green spaces. Trails can take anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours to complete. Most tracks are paved or gravel, but some are grass tracks, fire trails or old farm roads. All trails are graded according to the Australian Walking Track Grading System.
Bring the kids and play in one, or many, playgrounds, take an easy walk around Lizard Log or Bungarribee Playground or take a short stroll or cycle to The Dairy, Pimelea Loop, Moonrise Lookout, Sugarloaf Ridge or Prospect Reservoir. There’s plenty of pram-, bike- and wheelchair-friendly paths to walk, ride or roll on.
