In October 2024, the NSW Government announced it will hold an open tender process for the long-term lease of the Entertainment Quarter (EQ), Moore Park, with the aim of unlocking the potential of the site through a world-class redevelopment.
The NSW Government, in consultation with Greater Sydney Parklands as the landowner and agency responsible for the operation and care of the precinct and wider Centennial Parklands, will lead the design and delivery of the open tender.
Proposals will be sought that deliver more visitors, live performance and events at EQ, provide key precinct and infrastructure upgrades, and support increased usage of and integration with the broader parklands and sports and entertainment precinct.
The open tender process will commence in 2025.
