Murray Gardens is a lovely, quiet spot with unique landscaping and shaded areas.
Murray Gardens was recently restored to highlight the historic water patterns made by its ponds and water features.
We previously restored the Governor Macquarie-era convict stone bridge over Murray Gardens Creek. Using 19th- century stone masonry techniques and Sydney sandstone, the restorers based the design of the stone arch on watercolours done by colonial artist Joseph Lycett in 1820.
Located at the George Street Gatehouse, Murray Gardens is close to Paperbark playground and the O’Connell Street parking area.
