Wylde MTB

Wylde MTB and BMX

Choose your own adventure through the 86-hectare site, with over 15 km of tracks winding through picturesque Cumberland Plain bushland. Riders can drop-by for an hour of fun, or spend the day exploring the diverse trails, jumps and descents that Wylde has to offer.

15 km of trails to explore

Wylde has approximately 15 km of trails to explore. Many of them are ‘choose your own adventure’ so you can make them as long or short as you like.

The shortest trail is the Junior Loop, a 1.3 km loop that starts and finishes at the trail head. It’s a self-contained loop designed for young riders to hone their skills before taking on the bigger track network.

The longest continuous trail is up to you depending on which adventure you choose. A full circuit of the mountain bike trails is approximately 15 km beginning at ‘Start Your Engines’ followed by Upper Link, Exile, Hidden Valley, Smiles Link, Smiles for Miles, Roly Poly Valley, Lower Link and finishing with Home Run.

Rules for riding at Wylde MTB

Remember these simple rules to make the ride fun for everyone.

MTB bikes only. The trail is for mountain bikes only (including e-MTB bikes).

Protect yourself. It’s mandatory to wear a bicycle helmet that meets Australian Standard. Check the inside of your helmet for an Australian Standards sticker.

We also recommend riders were the following protective gear:

  • eye protection
  • long sleeves
  • body armour
  • elbow guards
  • riding gloves
  • long pants
  • knee pads
  • shoes

Closed when wet. To avoid injury to yourself and damage to the trail, do not ride the trail when it’s closed. Fines apply. Before you head out for your ride, check the trail’s status to find out if it’s open.

Entering. Only enter the trail at the beginning – do not enter at any other point.

Follow signs and trail markers. Only ride in the direction shown in the 1-way trails, keep to the left on 2-way linking trails and don’t skid, cut corners or make new lines.

Keep moving. Do not stop anywhere on the trail. Pull off the trail if you’re not moving.

Berms and turns. Do not ride or sit on the tops of berms/turns or slide down them.

Wash your bikes. All bikes must be washed down before and after riding the trail to stop the spread of weed and soil diseases.
